Text Box: The Labyrinth was completed in September 2007
with a dedication ceremony held on October 30, 2007.

It amazes us when we see what has transpired so far in a relatively short period of time.  Thanks mostly to the hard physical labor of Jerry Kauffman, and the strong support of  Margo Russell for inspiration and assistance with references, and many others in our congregation, we have a labyrinth to be used with some benches to sit and meditate if you so desire or rest before or after walking the labyrinth. And, thanks to the Cub Scouts that meet in our church, we have some really nice Sand Cherry (Prunus Cistena) shrubs to add to the overall appearance.

The Cubs and Jerry also worked on laying out the plat for the Biblical Memorial Garden.  We received a list of plants that has been compiled for a Bible Garden at Inniswood Metro Gardens in Westerville, Ohio.

The soil in the area of the garden is not the best for growing much so the plan was to create a short wall for the garden so that we can put garden soil down.  This raised structure gives the plants a better chance to be healthy for the the growing season in Ohio.

Margo provided several books for reference use. Bible Plants for American Gardens, by Eleanor Anthony King, gives many interesting details about various plants.  We are trying to compile a list from this book for present and future use.

If you are interested in contributing to this garden, you can call the church office, Jerry Kauffman, or Ann Hagen.

The Labyrinth is open to anyone who would like to walk the paths. Large groups are asked to call ahead to the church office to make special arrangements.
